Hey everyone! Is it getting colder for you, because I know we just had our first cold strike here in Virginia. With the weather getting cooler and the need to stay warm stronger, the Sunday Supper Movement is bringing you recipes that’ll warm your stomach and your soul. I’m hosting this week’s seasonal series of recipes, and would love for you to check out the recipes below when they go live on Sunday, and join us in the twitter chat at 7pm ET on Sunday!

For my recipe I’m bringing warm spiked apple cider using Virginia made apple cider. The picture featured at the top of this post is Carter Mountain Orchard in the Virginia Appalachian Valley. It’s located not too far from Charlottesville, and I have many fond memories of going apple picking, wine tasting, and buying delicious apple cider from this beautiful mountainside orchard. Each year I like to start out the winter with some warm apple cider from this orchard, and I’m excited to read about all the stories that’ll be brought to the Warming Trends event this weekend!
