I recently came across the Nutrition Secrets website and wanted to share it with all of you. It’s a great nutrition information website with a great range of gluten-related articles. Here’s some of their articles that are great for gluten free information!
- For anyone not familiar with gluten intolerance or Celiac, this is a great article that contains symptoms common to anyone who’s body hates gluten.
- This may be TMI, but I know I’ve been victim to many of these signs and great really frustrated when they show themselves when I’ve been glutened. Outside of the female symptoms, I’ve had pretty much all the other ones myself. Did I say how grateful I am that I was diagnosed so many years ago?
- I’ve made Elana’s chicken soup before and it was amazing. One thing of note when you look at the posts is make sure you use gluten free oats for any of the oats recipes. (I know oats are gluten free, but depending on how they are processed they can become cross contaminated and lose their GF status)
- Some great information for an introduction to Celiac. Some of the most important points is that you need to avoid anything with wheat, barley, rye, and oats. I’d also like to throw in that if you are Celiac, you’ll also need to do your research for anything with the words “natural flavor” in the ingredient list. I think it’s my least favorite, overly-ambiguous ingredient in foods EVER.
