Cut me a slice of that vegetarian pumpkin pizza. I don’t really eat pizza often. I’m far too afraid to order it from any store, at the chance of getting sick from cross contamination. Unsurprisingly, there’s not many places out there that are pure gluten free pizzerias. (While surprisingly, Chuck e Cheese is one of the safest pizzas to order because they completely isolate their gluten free pizzas from any contamination.) So when I want pizza, I like to make them at home. One of my favorite easy cheats when making this pumpkin pizza recipe was using Udi’s gluten free pizza crusts. I normally find them in the frozen isle, and they’ve got a great taste and texture that can really hold its own against toppings.
Gluten Free Pumpkin Pizza
My pumpkin pizza recipe is a fun vegetarian dish that’s a little sweet, and pretty much entirely a fruit pizza. It’s also pretty easy to make, in order to whip up the “sauce” of the pizza, you just have to blend some puree with oil and some spices. Simple and easy, right?
- 1 Udi's gluten free pizza crust
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 apple, cubed
- 1/4 tsp basil
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Mix the puree, oil, cinnamon, and ginger together. Spread on top of the crust.
- Top with the mozzarella, basil, and cubed apple.
- Bake for 8 minutes
